Today‍‍`s HSC and equivalent exams postponed

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for today (Tuesday) have been postponed due to the tragic plane crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka.

The incident involved a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft that crashed into a building on the campus, resulting in multiple casualties.

The announcement was made by Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser of the interim government, through a verified Facebook post around 7:15 AM on Tuesday. He wrote, “Today’s HSC examination has been postponed: Education Adviser.”

Earlier, at around 3:00 AM on Tuesday, Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, also shared news of the postponement on his verified Facebook profile.

Mahfuz Alam, Adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, shared a similar post regarding the postponement at around 3:30 AM on his verified account.

On Monday afternoon, shortly after 1:00 PM, a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a building at Milestone School and College in Uttara. At least 22 people have been confirmed dead, with over 150 others injured in the incident.

In response to the tragedy, the government has declared Tuesday a day of national mourning.
